Great Wall Of China - Surprising Truths


  1. The Great wall of China's actual length is 21196.13 kms.
  2. The Average height of the walls are 6 to 7 meters and Average width is 6.5 meters.
  3. The wall built initated/built in 220–206 BC by Qin Shi Huang, who is the first Emperor of China.
  4. In 2,500 years construction history of this big project, more than 1,000,000 labors had been used, including civilians, soldiers, and convicts. 
  5. It was actually  a special punishment for convicted criminals during Qin period. 
  6. The wall covers around 15 regions of North china. i.e it spreaded accross Beijing, Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Inner Mongolia, Tianjin, Hebei, Shandong, Henan, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Gansu, Ningxia, Qinghai, and Xinjiang.

  8. The most famous rumor was, the wall can be seen from Moon with only eyes. But it is not. Without aided eyes, we cannot see it.
  9. Another famous myth were famous astronaut Neil Amstrong was able to see The China wall from Moon. But He declared that Great Wall is "definitely not visible from the Moon". 
  10. The Great Wall of China is only about 6.5 meters in width. That would not possible to see from Moon, where the distance from ground level of China wall to Moon is of an average 384,400 kms away.
